What is the demo version?
The demo version provides access to all the basic features of both the Firm Search and People Search databases. The demo version is intended to introduce the user to our services and is limited to the first 250 listings from each database and does not include email addresses. We are certain that when you see the quality of our databases and compare our prices to other providers you will be impressed with the value HedgeFundContacts.com delivers.
What is included in the full version?
The full version includes full access to all 3500+ US hedge fund and private equity listings in the Firm Search database and 8000+ individual Executive Contacts in our People Search database. There are also various other Features available only to subscribing members.
How do I subscribe to the full version?
Take the demo version for a spin and ready to gain access to the entire database including access to 7000+ emails? If you are ready to take the plunge, subscribe here. For full access to all features including downloadable results, subscribe to Premium.
How do I upgrade my account?
If you already have an account with us and want to upgrade a Demo account to a Standard account, or upgrade a Standard account to a Premium account, please login and go to your account page. Add the upgrade you wish to purchase to your account in the panel on the right and click "Order". You will be redirected to our payment page and asked to enter your details. Once your payment has processed you will have immediate access to your new features.
How do I downgrade or cancel my subscription (Authorize.net AIM Payments)?
If you wish to downgrade a Premium account to a Standard account or cancel your subscriptions entirely, please login and go to your account page. On the lower right of the page your current subscriptions will be listed. Click the button marked "Cancel" next to the subscription you wish to cancel.
How do I downgrade or cancel my subscription (Paypal Payments)?
Your subscriptions are handled via Paypal. If you wish to downgrade a Premium account to a Standard account or cancel your subscriptions entirely, login to your Paypal account. Enter your paypal control panel. Click on your history tab. Find the subscription in your history and click on it. After the screen redraws, you will be given the option to cancel the subscription or renew it. Select cancel.
How can I downgrade a Premium account to a Standard Account
Because of how our internal software works, you can't have an active Premium account first and then downgrade normally to a Standard subscription. To downgrade an account that was originally purchased as Premium to Standard:
- Cancel your Premium subscription normally.
- Login to HedgeFundContacts.com from any page.
- Click "Enter Member's Area". You will be taken to page that tells you to either login to an account that has access or to go to your account page. Choose go to your account page.
- You should now see the normal form where you can purchase a Standard subscription. Proceed normally.
How often is the database updated?
We are constantly updating our database - We add or update more than 1000 listings every month.
What are the search criteria?
The Firm Search database can be searched using the following categories: Firm Name, City, State, Zip, Assets Under Management, # of Professional Employees, Firm Type, and Firm Strategy/Specialty.
The People Search Database can be searched using the following categories: Name, Position, City, State, and Firm Type.
Do you offer access to Non-US Funds?
We currently only cover hedge funds and private equity firms based in the US or with a significant domestic office presence, but are working on implementing this coverage in the near future. Check back in for more updates.
Does the database include all hedge funds and private equity firms in the US?
The database contains the vast majority of all funds operating or based in the US, though there are occasional omissions and some firms with multiple major offices have more than one listing. The database lists actual firms, rather than individual funds (ie Goldman Sachs Asset Management operates numerous strategy specific hedge funds). Because we cover the broader firm, the database actually provides coverage for firms managing or operating more than 10,000 individual hedge and private equity funds.
Can I download the contacts to Excel?
Yes. Subscribing members can upgrade and download all listings and categories from either database (Firm Search or People Search) into a .csv format (compatible with most spreadsheet programs). An additional fee applies for Downloads. Be sure to review our Terms of Service before downloading for info on email and other usage restrictions. After downloading, the data can be easily sorted or manipulated in Excel (or virtually any other spreadsheet program). You can also easily upload info to your Outlook or contact management software.
How long does it take to get access?
Subscribers get access immediately upon payment. After completing your purchase you will receive an email with a link to confirm your subscription. You can then log in and immediately begin searching the database.
Are there restrictions on the number of database users/subscribers?
In order to ensure our database operates as quickly and efficiently as possible, and to protect the integrity and exclusivity of the data, we are currently limiting the database to 500 users. The database is currently open to new subscribers.
Do you offer discounts for institutions / corporations?
Yes. If you are interested in gaining access for multiple users within your company or organization please contact us to find out about our generous multi-user discounts.
How can I list my hedge fund or private equity firm?
If your firm is not listed or you believe there are inaccuracies with a listing, you can use our Fund Update page to enter your firm’s current details. All submissions are reviewed and confirmed before insertion into the database.
