General:

The use of the Firm Search and People Search databases, along with other features, does not require any special user software or installations. Premium downloads are in .csv format and distributed in a .zip file. Therefore opening the downloads will require a .zip extractor (easily found for free online)and an appropriate spreadsheet application (Excel, Open Office etc.).

Using the Databases:

Both databases consist of three main sections/screens: Search, Results, and Details.

Search Field

The Search Field screen allows the user to input a variety of search criteria including Firm Name, City, State, Zip, Assets Under Management, # of Professional Employees, Firm Type, Firm Strategy, and Emails.

Search fields are treated as “and”, meaning that results must meet all criteria you set forth in the search screen. If you do not want to filter by a given category leave it blank and be sure dropdown menu is set to “All”

Results Field

The Results Field displays basic information for all results that meet the criteria set forth in the Search Field. A maximum of 20 listings are shown on the Results Page at once. More results can be viewed by selecting a new page in the bottom right hand corner of the Results Page. Clicking the “Details” link in the right column will display full contact information for each firm.

Details Page

The Details Page displays full contact information for each firm and is accessed from the Results Page. The details page contains all available firm information.

Other Features:

Downloads

Subscribing members can upgrade and get access to unlimited downloads (Read Terms and Conditions) of the Firm Search database. The download feature has identical search criteria to the main Firm Search database allowing users to easily screen firms for downloading. Downloads are delivered as .zip file with the actual table in .csv format (compatible with virtually all spreadsheets ans similar software).
